What are the eligibility criteria for the Pharm.D course?
The candidate must have completed10+2 or equivalent examinations from an approved university or Board established by law in India with English as one of the subjects and Physics,Chemistry as compulsory subjects, and either Mathematics or Biology as optional. Or the candidate must have passed the D.Pharm course from any institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India
What is the duration of M.Pharm ?
The duration of the M.Pharm program is two years.
What is the scope of D. Pharm?
The D.Pharm program provides an entry to the pharmacy career.It is the minimum qualification to register as a pharmacist in India. The student can pursue B.Pharm as a lateral entry if he wishes to pursue his higher studies in pharmacy. The Diploma holders can join in retail, wholesale, community pharmacy, NGOs, and hospital pharmacy. They can also take up entry-level jobs in pharmaceutical companies. Diploma holders with an entrepreneurial spirit can start a pharmacy business .
What is the duration of B.Pharm ?
B. Pharm course is eight semesters (four years) for regular B. Pharm students and six semesters (3 years) for lateral entry students. Certified D. Pharm course holders from an approved institution by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) can join B. Pharm lateral entry.
