About Us
Dayananda Sagar College of Architecture (DSCA) is one of India’s well-known Institutions for Architectural education. Established in 1991 as part of Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (DSCE), Dayananda Sagar College of Architecture (DSCA) is now a standalone Institution, offering 5-year full-time B.Arch, 2-year full-time M.Arch Interior Design and Doctoral Research programs. Since its inception, DSCA has focused on creating professionals with a thorough understanding of the concepts and principles, and an ability to develop innovative designs and processes in architectural design.
The faculty includes highly-qualified and experienced professionals with rich industry exposure in diverse disciplines such as Planning, Landscape Architecture, sustainable design and Interior Design. Members actively participate in several national and international conferences and present papers. DSCA has also empanelled reputed architects and design experts who periodically share their insights with students. DSCA offers B.Arch, a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (5-years) and M.Arch, a Master’s degree in Architecture (2-years), affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Karnataka. The department has an annual intake of 120 students for B.Arch and admission to the program is through NATA. (National Aptitude Test in Architecture).

Founder
Dayananda Sagar Institution is named in honour of its founder president Late Shri R Dayananda Sagar. He was a great, confident leader who saw no reason why, as an Indian, he could not provide education for all sections of society. Best known for his pivotal role in setting up the Mahatma Gandhi Vidya Peetha Education Trust (MGVPT), Late Shri R Dayananda Sagar also played an important role in the education sector of emerging India.

I am proud of my association with Dayananda Sagar Institutions (DSI) for close to a decade and a half, have been part of the institution’s growth over the years. Today,DSCA has evolved to be recognized as an institution of eminence with a vibrant environment that fosters academic excellence.

DSCA is affiliated to VTU Belagavi, and our teaching learning process blends theoretical concepts with practical exposure to offer quality experiential education.
