Srinivas College of Pharmacy was established in the year 2004 offering both Under, Post Graduate, Diploma and Doctoral Courses in Pharmacy. The college is located at the Valachil Campus of the Srinivas Group of Colleges with picturesque surroundings. The campus has a salubrious climate throughout the year providing the best environment for the studies for the students of the College. The Campus is well connected by all means of transport and provides state-of-the art facilities to the young aspirants.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have passed two years P.U.C. examination of Karnataka P.U.C. Board or an equivalent examination of any other approved Board of universities with not less than 45% marks in any combination comprising P.C.M. or P.C.B.(minimum eligibility should be based on the aggregate of P.C.M. or P.C.B.) or P.C.M.B, P.C. and computer Sciences, P.C. and Electronics. Note: In respect of the candidates who have taken P.C.M.B combination, the aggregate of P.C.M. or P.C.B. whichever is higher shall be considered for the purpose of admission.In case of students belonging to SC/ST or Category-I, the minimum percentage of marks for admission to B. Pharm course shall be not less than 40% in P.U.C. or its equivalent examination (P.C.B, or P.C.M. or P.C.M.B.), P.C and Computer Science, P.C and Electronics.
Founder
Abhisheka sukta defines life as being meaningful and a source of inspiration to fellow beings. The only right way of leading human life is by serving mankind. The greatest luminaries, Sri. A.Shama Rao & Smt. Indiramma Shama Rao are amongst those few who served mankind from darkness to light. Our founder late A. Shama Rao, born in 1909 at Aroor, a village in Udupi Taluk got his early education in Katapady, Udupi and Mangalore and later obtained B.A. and L.T. Degrees from Madras University. His interests in different walks of life led him to take up such varied courses as secretarial practice, scouts training and first aid. There is a woman behind every successful man. Smt. Indiramma Shama Rao supported the founder in all walks of life not just being his wife, but a friend philosopher and guide. Late Shri A. Shama Rao began his illustrious teaching career in Mangalore in 1939. He was the founder Headmaster of the well known S.V.H. Higher Secondary Residential School from 1943 to 1956. He retired as Headmaster of B.E.M. High School, Mangalore in 1969. Even after retirement, he continued to be active in the field of education and social service. He passed away at the age of 83, on 28th December 1992. Indiramma Shama Rao passed away on 5th December 2009 at the ripe age of 92.
President’s Address
The most eminent Educationist and philanthropic entrepreneur of Mangalore, Shri CA. A. Raghavendra Rao is the Founder, Chairman and the chief patron of A. Shama Rao Foundation. The Foundation was specifically established to impart quality and sustainable education to all. This foundation was born out of the belief of Shri A. Shama Rao, that education is the engine to transform society. The “Srinivas Group of Colleges” is one such venture that is sponsored by A. Shama Rao Foundation. Shri A. Raghavendra Rao was born on 16th October, 1937, to Late Shama Rao, and late Shrimathi. A. Indiramma at Benagal, Pejamangore Village, Udupi. He completed his elementary education in SVS Elementary School, Innanje and then joined SVH High School. He pursued his graduation in Commerce at the M.G.M. College in Udupi and came to Mangalore to pursue his higher education in Chartered Accountancy.
Principal's Message
The profession of pharmacy has undergone vast changes in the last few years. Hither to, it was product centered and now there is a definite shift towards Patient centered approach. Pharmacists are taking proactive role in Patient counseling, therapeutic drug monitoring and providing drug Information. Introduction of Pharm.D course by Pharmacy Council of India is one such step in making Indian Pharmacy profession globally competitive. Thanks to the information technology and computer science, now the students have access to enormous amount of professional and general information. It makes the job of teacher much more difficult. The primary task of a teacher is to provide additional knowledge. Perhaps it is the time to deviate a bit from the straight jacketed syllabi provided by the Universities and introduce some novelty and innovations. Our achievements are decent, if not extraordinary. We look at the facts and figures to push ourselves to do better in the coming year. We have miles to go before we sleep……
