Soil Science as an area of study focuses on the analysis, study, and research of nutrient profile of the soil so as to attain enhanced productivity and efficiency from the soil. As a sub-domain of agricultural science, it is aligned towards the study of enhancement of agricultural productivity through the mechanism of soil enrichment.

Eligibility
- Candidates must have passed their M.Phil. or equivalent level examination from a recognized state/private/deemed or central University
- He/she must have obtained at least 55% (45% to 50% for reserved category candidates) of the marks at M.Phil or equivalent level in the respective domain of study.
