Course
CSE comprises of the basic knowledge of computer programming and networking. The computer science experience will give ample knowledge about the implementation design and management of the entire information system in both the aspects- hardware as well as software.
Department of Computer Science and Engineering is headed by Prof. Parameshwarappa C M. Department is imparting a quality education, keeping in mind the important role of software in the industry and in providing service to the better social life and overall development of mankind. Computer Science & Engineering department was established in the year 1992 with the Intake of 30. Now the current intake is 90.
The department has enough number of computers of the reputed brands like IBM, HP, Acer, HCL machines, IBM Xeon Servers and the department also manages 100 Mbps Leased Line Internet connectivity and two broadband internet connectivity. Department has subscribed to Microsoft Campus agreement program, which helps to get all the necessary software required by Staff and Students to carry out state of the art projects. e-Journals subscription has been done to encourage research activities amongst faculty members and students. All the computers spread across the campus are being networked together. The department also maintain WiFi connectivity around the campus.

Eligibility
- A pass in 10+2 or PUC-II examinations, with 45% marks in Physics, Mathematics (Compulsory subjects) along with one of Chemistry / Computer Science / Biology / Electronics subjects and English as one of the languages
- A pass in 10+2 or PUC-II examinations,with 40% of aggregate in optional subjects in case of candidates belonging to the scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and other backward classes specified in the relevent Government Order for the purpose of reservation
- Pass in Diploma awarded by the Board of Technical Education, the Govt of Karnataka or any other Diploma considered equivalent for the lateral entry admission to second year.
