Course
The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program is designed to immerse students into further investigation and research, to build and support the programs of research at the University and to enliven the undergraduate learning environment.
The PhD program is thesis-based and offered in a number of areas of study. Depending on the academic background, students may be required to take up to six courses in their area of study; the number and details of the courses are determined at the time of admission to the program.
Duration : 3 to 5 Years
Eligibility :
- The candidates should have passed their masters in relevant subject with 55% [50% for SC/ST] aggregate from a recognized college.
- The University also conducts Entrance Tests for Ph.D proagrams.
A student who completes their education with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Philosophy can think of working in quite a number of avenues, both in India and abroad. One can look for a job in many sectors which can range from specialist in HR, interviewer, consultant, student affairs, public service, journalism, research, law, diplomacy, insurance, etc. Students who have done research on philosophy can opt for teaching jobs in research institutes, universities and in colleges
