Course
Postgraduate Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynecology is a postgraduate diploma level program offered by the Government Medical College (GMC), Kozhikode. Obstetrics and Gynecology is a clinical training study at surgical administration across clinical pathology relating to female reproductive organs. The study comprises female health care, maternity care and other related diseases of women. Government Medical College (GMC) is affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences Thrissur. Kerala University of Health Sciences contains a syllabus that includes the subjects such as maternal anatomy and physiology, physiology of pharmacology, obstetrics anesthesia, nerve supply of female genital tract, sonar and infertility seminar, gynecology basics, malformations of the female generative organs, adolescence gynecology, endoscopy in gynecology, diseases in the urinary system, diseases in vulva, fertility and infertility, endometriosis, cervix diseases, vasectomy, vaginal vault prolapse, gynecologic oncology, surgery of Mullerian ducts, hysterectomy, comprehensive study, and so on. The students who complete this program can have different job profiles, such as Surgeon, Gynecology consultant, Gynecology and Oncology specialist, Obstetrician, Family Planning Consultant, Lecturer, Clinic Associate, Senior Infant Health care specialist, Infant care pediatrician, Senior Gynecology Surgeon.
