Course
PG Diploma in Anesthesiology is a course which is undergone as in post graduate diploma level. After completing their plus-two program with an aggregate of 55% marks, candidates can pursue this program and achieve this program. Government Medical College (GMC), Kozhikode is affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences Thrissur. Anaesthesiology is a stream that induces drugs into the human body when surgical procedures occur and gets a temporary loss of sensation or awareness. The Kerala University of Health Sciences holds a curriculum that includes the topics such as applied anatomy and physiology of the human body, haematological function, muscle function, cardiovascular physiology, kidney and body fluids, liver, respiration, nervous system, gastrointestinal tract, metabolism and body temperature, endocrinology, obstetrics and paediatrics, applied clinical pharmacology, general therapeutics, pain management and so on. The candidates can succeed in their job roles after completing this course; they can be anaesthetist, associate/attending consultant, clinical associate/ assistant, medical Consultant, paediatrician, radiologist, surgeon/pediatric specialist, technical assistant etc.
