DM Medical Gastroenterology or Doctor of Medicine in Medical Gastroenterology is a doctoral course offered by the Government Medical College (GMC), Kozhikode by the Kerala University of Health Sciences Thrissur with a three-year degree that is imparted with six semesters. The Kerala University of Health Sciences offers the syllabus is that includes different subjects on Basic Sciences of the Gastrointestinal tract and its facts and disorders,different parts of the gastrointestinal tract like esophagus, stomach, colon, liver, bile,spleen, gall bladder, etc its anatomy and physiology, also disorders related to the organs and various disease conditions that affect the GI tract, peritoneum, and retroperitoneum, and nutrition and also vascular diseases of GI tract. The main scopes for the scholars who complete the course can be undergone in an area sales manager, gastroenterologist,lecturer, researcher, group product manager, key accounts manager, marketing head,medical gastroenterologist, registrar, trainee therapy business manager, zonal manager, etc and so on.
