Course
B. Sc. Applied Mathematics is a 3-year (six semesters) program offered by Alliance School of Liberal Arts Bangalore. It focuses on exposing students to various applications of mathematical modeling in Science, Engineering, Technology, and the Arts (SETA). The students have an inside track to Global Leaders’ Alliance Fellowship, opportunities to take classes with Global Leaders’ Alliance Fellowship, exposure to SETA mathematical modelling applications, live mathematical modelling projects, seminars, conferences and internships. The applicant should have Plus two or equivalent from any recognized board or council in any discipline with at least 50% marks. The Alliance University curriculum covers Foundation (Basic Calculus, Basic Algebra, Basic Statistics); Core ( Advanced Calculus, Linear Algebra and Matrix Theory, Real Analysis, Advanced Algebra, Differential Equations, Functional Transforms, Complex Analysis, Linear Programming and its Applications, Numerical Methods, Vector Calculus. The electives available are Sampling Theory, Discrete Mathematics & Combinatorics, Fuzzy Logic and Analysis, Regression Analysis/Modelling, Basic Programming & Algorithms using Python, Mathematical Modelling, Time Series Analysis and Forecasting, Descriptive Analytics & Data Visualisation, Advanced Numerical Methods, Econometrics, Simulation Modelling, Topology, Stochastic Mathematics, Predictive Analytics using R & Python, Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Reliability and Survival Analysis, Cryptography & Blockchain, Functional Analysis. After graduation, the students can find opportunities in financial institutions, corporates, banks, offices, companies, and schools. They can also pursue higher studies in the related field.
