MyMathews Educare Private Limited (“We,” “Us,” “Our Company” or “MyMathews”) and our affiliates are committed to protecting your digital privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, manage and protect your personally identifiable information (“Personal Data”) when you use the MyMathews Portal (the “Platform”) in accordance with applicable data protection laws and regulations including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000. This Policy is fully incorporated in the MyMathews Portal Terms and Conditions. This policy applies to all users who register, sign up or provide us with their information in connection with offering our services (including students, parents/guardians and educational institutions).

Personal Data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable human being. This can include:

1. Name, email address, mobile number
2. Device identifiers and location information
3. Education background, records and preferences
4. Documents provided for admission services
5. Any information that is defined as Personal Data in the applicable law

We do not intentionally collect biometric, health, or sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for verification or service delivery and we have obtained explicit consent.

2. Core Operational Purpose

The MyMathews Portal functions as a direct-connect platform for students exploring educational institutions (colleges, universities, and other learning centers) without the interference of third-party intermediaries or agents.

We process Personal Data to:

• Connect prospective students with educational institutions
• Provide personalised recommendations, search results, and content
• Facilitate admission applications and related processes

Important: Your contactable information is shared with Colleges/Educational Institutions only if:

• You have actively expressed interest in them; or
• You have applied to their courses/programs through the Platform

MyMathews does not accept applications/registrations on behalf of any college or institution. On applying to any course/institution through the Portal, the student is deemed to have taken the help of MyMathews team only for facilitation and information purpose.

3. Methods of Data Collection

We collect information about you and your use of our services to help us improve the services.

3.1 Creating an Account. When you create or update an account on the MyMathews Portal, we ask you to provide us with certain Personal Data, such as your full name, email address and contact telephone number.

3.2 Enhancing the profile. To be able to provide specialized services, we might ask for more in-depth profile information like your academic background, educational qualifications, entrance exam scores and date of birth.

3.3 Location and Usage Data. We collect information about your interactions with our services, technical information (such as log data), and location information to better understand your preferences and to provide you with information that is relevant to your location.

3.4 Communication logs. If you contact MyMathews or use the Platform's features to communicate with institutions, we collect information about that communication and any other information you choose to provide.

3.5 Data from Institutions. We may receive information about you from educational institutions that you have expressed interest in or where you have an existing application.

4. Use of Personal Data

MyMathews processes Your Personal Data for the following legitimate purposes:

• Service Optimisation: We use information from cookies and similar technologies to optimise site performance, user experience and overall service quality.
• Content Personalisation: Our systems analyse your activity to provide you with personalised search results, relevant recommendations and targeted information about courses and institutions.

6.2 External Links. Our Platform may contain links to external sites (e.g., partner institutions, advertisers, social media). This Policy does not govern the data practices of those third-party sites. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies before providing them with your Personal Data.

7. Minimum Age Requirement and Parental Consent

You must be at least the following age to use the Platform:

7.1 Users Under 18 Years. If you are under the age of 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you must use the MyMathews Portal under the direct supervision of a parent, legal guardian or responsible adult.

7.2 Verifiable Parental Consent (Mandatory). Under the DPDP Rules, 2025, we are required to obtain verifiable parental consent before processing any Personal Data of a child (individual under 18 years).

By providing your information on behalf of a minor, the parent/guardian:

• Represents and warrants that they are the lawful parent or legal guardian of the minor
• Consents to the collection, storage, and processing of the minor's Personal Data as described in this Policy
• May withdraw consent at any time by contacting us
• We may request documentary evidence to verify the parent-child relationship, in compliance with applicable law.

7.3 Users 18 Years and Above.

• By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.
• Important: The Platform is not designed to attract users under the age of 13, and we do not intentionally collect data from such individuals. If we find out a user under 13 has signed up, we will delete the account and all data associated with it right away.

8. Data Sharing Practices

Access to your Personal Data is granted only to employees who need to perform their duties (providing, operating and improving our products/services).

MyMathews does not rent, sell or trade your Personal Data with unaffiliated companies except:

• With Your Consent: Where you have given us consent to use your Personal Data for a particular purpose.

9. Data Storage Policy

MyMathews will retain your Personal Data for as long as is required to enable us to provide the Services to you or for the period required to fulfill our legal, regulatory, contractual or statutory obligations.

Retention Periods for Particular Purposes:

• Active Accounts: We retain your information as long as your account is active.
• Inactive Accounts: If you do not access your account for three (3) years, we will start the process of securely deleting or anonymising your data.
• Application Data: Course application specific information will be retained for a period of three (3) years from the date of application closure, at which point it will be securely archived or deleted.
• Legal obligations: Sometimes we are required to retain data for a certain period (e.g. for tax, audit or legal reasons) and we will keep it for that period of time.

At the end of the retention period, your data will be securely archived or fully anonymised/deleted. Under the erasure requirements of the DPDPA you have the right to request that we erase your data at any time, unless there is a legal requirement for us to keep certain records.

10. Your Rights to Privacy

Under the DPDPA 2023 and IT Act, 2000 you have the following rights regarding your Personal Data:

• Right of Access: Request confirmation of whether or not we are processing your data and a copy of the data we hold.
• Right to Rectification: The right to have inaccurate or incomplete Personal Data rectified or updated.
• Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): Request deletion of your Personal Data, subject to legal and contractual retention obligations.
• Right to Restriction: Restrict how we use your information.
• Right to Data Portability: Ask for your data in a structured, commonly used and machine readable format.
• Right to Withdraw Consent: In case processing was the legal basis, withdraw consent to processing.

10.1 Opt-Out of Communications. You can unsubscribe from receiving promotional communications from us at any time. Email: To unsubscribe, click the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any email from us. SMS/WhatsApp/Calls: Please contact us directly to request to be removed from our contact list. Account Settings: Change your preferences in your account settings. Please note it can take a few days for all communications to stop, and you may receive some messages during this transition time.

10.2 Communications Consent (TRAI/DLT Compliance). Use of this website and/or registration with us and acceptance of this Privacy Policy constitutes your express consent to receive communications from MyMathews regarding educational services and admission offers via phone calls, SMS, WhatsApp, RCS or email. You acknowledge and consent that such consent shall be applicable even if your mobile number is registered under the Do Not Disturb (DND/NCPR) list as permitted under TRAI regulations, provided such consent is recorded and maintained as per the Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) framework. You can withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us.

11. Data Security and Confidentiality

We are committed to protecting your Personal Data. MyMathews has put in place adequate physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in accordance with applicable Indian law (including Information Technology Act, 2000 and DPDPA 2023) and global best practices.

Key Security Measures:

2. Hash and salt passwords with standard cryptographic techniques
3. Role-based controls restricting access to Personal Data on a need-to-know basis
4. Conducting regular security audits, vulnerability assessments and penetration tests

Access to Personal Data is limited to those persons who have a legitimate business purpose to access Personal Data. All employees are trained on their confidentiality and data protection obligations.

12. Data Protection Officer and Grievance Redressal

MyMathews is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the inadvertent or unauthorised disclosure of user account information.

Any Personal Data you voluntarily provide outside of the mandatory or optional fields requested by MyMathews is considered a willful and intentional disclosure, and we bear no liability for any subsequent breach related to that self-furnished information.

We collect information on Colleges and Exams from the official websites of the colleges and Exams and we try our best to give accurate information but we can't guarantee the completeness or timeliness of the information that we provide.
