Course
The objective of the course is to teach basic neurophysiology of EEG Recording of EEG in different montages Interpretation of EEG. Programs in neurodiagnostic technology include extensive EEG coursework, and students learn about the nervous system and associated disorders. They also gain the skills needed to operate the equipment used to monitor patients.
Students are introduced to the EEG machine, as well as how to operate the controls, apply electrodes to patients, read waveforms and collect results. Students also explore how the brain produces electrical activity and how the EEG machine captures a record of that activity. This is a beginning level course for students in an electroneurodiagnostic or neurodiagnostic program, which does not typically require a prerequisite.
Duration
Course to be conducted weekends, Sunday 2 hours for 8 weeks.(Includes theory and hands on practice )
